The big rock peak above the Imenane valley, and the best acclimatisation objective in the park before a 4,000 m week. Village-to-village, a night in a Berber house at Tacheddirt, and a summit with a straight view across to the whole Toubkal massif.

Imlil over the Tizi n'Tamatert to Tacheddirt
A short walking day over the Tizi n'Tamatert into the Imenane valley, ending at Tacheddirt — the highest permanently inhabited village in the Atlas. Afternoon in the village, night in a family gîte.

Aksoual and return to Imlil
Early start up the north-west flank: grass, then scree, then a rocky final section with a little easy scrambling to the summit. Toubkal, Ouanoukrim and Angour all in one turn. Descent to Tacheddirt and back over the pass to Imlil.
