High Atlas — Azzaden
Tazaghart plateau, four days
A hanging plateau at 3,980 m above the Azzaden valley, ringed by the cliffs that make it the best-known winter climbing venue in Morocco. In summer it is a wild, empty walking objective reached through villages that see a fraction of the Imlil traffic.

- Day 1 5–6 h 2 489 m
Imlil over the Tizi n'Mzik to Azzaden
Out of Imlil on the west side, over the Tizi n'Mzik and down into the Azzaden valley. Night in the Azzaden refuge or a village gîte at Tizi Oussem.

Up to the Lepiney hut
A short but steep day up the valley head to the Lepiney hut, sat directly under the Tazaghart walls. Afternoon free to look at the cliffs and pick out the classic winter lines.

Tazaghart plateau, 3 980 m
The couloir behind the hut onto the plateau rim, then a flat, stony crossing to the high point. It feels like nowhere else in the Atlas — a tilted desert at 4,000 m. Back down to Lepiney, or on to Azzaden if the group is strong.

Azzaden and back to Imlil
Down the Azzaden valley and back over the Tizi n'Mzik to Imlil, then the transfer to Marrakech.
