High Atlas — Imlil
Toubkal West (Tibherine), three days
Both Toubkal summits from one refuge base. Tibherine — Toubkal West, 4,030 m — is the quieter twin: the same view, a tenth of the traffic, and a fine acclimatisation day before the main peak the following morning.

Day by day
- Day 1 5–6 h 3 207 m
Imlil to the refuge
The Mizane valley approach through Aroumd and Sidi Chamharouch. An easy first day by design — the point is to arrive with something left, not to arrive exhausted.
- Day 2 6–7 h 4 030 m
Toubkal West — Tibherine, 4 030 m
North from the refuge onto the west ridge. Steep scree and easy boulder-hopping, no rope. We are usually alone up there. Back at the refuge by mid-afternoon, which leaves the whole evening to recover for the main summit.
- Day 3 9–10 h 4 167 m
Jbel Toubkal and down to Imlil
Early start for the south cirque and the 4,167 m summit, then the long descent all the way out to Imlil. Yesterday's climb makes today's noticeably easier.
